Packaging
Work that reflects not only creative design, but also structural design to express the entire concept.
Mochi Krunch
The packaging was designed hand-in-hand with the logo. Having a unique structure to work with, made it stand out on the shelves. The design elements were created in such a way that when the product line was expanded, additional colors could be use, but the essence of the brand wouldn’t change. Frank Gehry / Walt Disney Concert Hall
Steel plated plaques laser etched with Frank Gehry’s sketch of the Walt Disney Concert Hall were sold as commemorative pieces, both at the WDCH and the MOCA museum shop. The packaging was constructed out of corrugated cardboard, as a nod to the material’s Frank Gehry uses to create his models. Click the link to view more.
Frank Gehry / Walt Disney Concert Hall
You can’t forget the kids. (or the kids at heart!) This magic cube was designed using images of the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the conceptual sketches and surrounding gardens. Click the link to view more.
Wedgwood
Showcasing an almost 360º view of a holiday ornament is always challenging. To make sure it’s a folding box as well, made it even more so. But these were enjoyable to design both creatively and structurally. The Wedgwood logo was also used as snowflakes to give some texture and pattern to the design.
Beau+Ashe
This shoe brand wanted to convey their urban and industrial roots in it’s packaging. The attitude needed to shine through, presenting as confident and bold, but still attainable. Printing on kraft board, helped illustrate the raw nature of the products B+A sold.
Paper Fox
Nightlife is exciting and electric. This shoe brand wanted to convey that presence in their packaging. Using neon yellow as their core color, and sharp lettering that relied on gestalt to be read, you are able to feel it’s energy.
Oakley
This was a case study to demonstrate a strong folding box design to protect the sunglasses, but also to showcase how light these products are.
